FAQs

When is the best time to start looking?

We would advise that you wait until the new collection launches in October and then you can see all the new styles in one go. We know that everyone wants to be the first to choose their dress but trust us, it is worth the wait to be able to try all the dresses together. If you start too early there is a chance that you may rush a decision and you may have preferred one of the new dresses more. October half term is usually a great time to come in, as this is when most of the dresses are in the studio and you will have the most choice!

Do you sell the same dress to the same school?

We have a strict policy and hold a register to ensure that we do not sell the same style dress in the same colour to anyone in your school.

It’s a first come first served basis, so visit us early to avoid disappointment!

What is the price range?

We stock a broad range of new season designer prom dresses to try, each available in several different colours, priced at £195 – £350 and up to £450 for our luxury designer range.

The price of the dress is taken in two instalments; a 50% deposit when the order is placed and the remaining balance is due when the dress arrives in the studio.

How can I pay?

We accept cash or all major card payment types from chip & PIN and contactless to Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Do you need to know what you want before you come in?

It is good to have an idea of what you are looking for but don’t be too set until you have tried some styles on. You may surprise yourself!

We do not expect you to know exactly what you want or what suits you which is why we are on hand to help.

What size and styles are the sample dresses?

We have a large range of colours and sizes for you to try on and see what suits you.

Believe it or not some prom dresses will be available in many colours! Now, we would love to have them all available to try on but it’s not possible. However, we will be able to show you the colour so you can confidently choose the best one for you.

As for sizing – again there are so many options that we couldn’t possibly have each dress in every size, however, we aim to be size inclusive and there will be a range of dresses to try on in sizes UK4 – UK18.

What if the dresses are too long or don’t fit perfectly even in my size?

Not to worry, we can point you in the direction of a seamstress. The dresses are quite often too long on most girls, but they are all made to be shortened.

All alteration pricing/costs are set by each individual seamstress; are charged in addition to the cost of the dress and are not included in the price of the dress. All alterations are completed outside of the studio and you will need to contact a seamstress yourself to book/arrange fittings. Dresses must be paid in full before any alterations can take place.

How long are the appointments and can I bring someone with me?

We book out an hour for each appointment, which gives more than enough time to try on lots of dresses and hopefully find ‘The Dream Dress’.

Prom dress appointments require the presence of a parent or guardian (for girls under the age of 18 years old).

Can I take the dress away with me?

Our selection of sample sale dresses are available to take away with you on the day of your appointment.

If your dress has to be ordered in, as soon as it arrives in the studio, we will contact you to arrange a 15 minute fitting appointment. The balance of your dress is due at this point and must be paid in full. You are then free to take your dream prom dress home.

Please note: some dresses can take between 12 to 16 weeks to be handmade and arrive in the studio so this must be factored in when placing an order.
